Commemoration through the Spirit of Art

Naregatsi Art Institute hosted the annual event "Commemoration through the Spirit of the Arts" dedicated to the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.

The event began with a prayer by Father Vardan Hayrapetyan, advisor of the Holy Trinity Church of the Ararat Patriarchal Diocese.

The event featured spiritual songs. performed by Garni Vocal Quintet (Artistic Director Sona Movsisyan), the laureate of international competitions Paros Chamber Choir (Artistic Director & Conductor Raffi Mikaelian, piano accompaniment by Lilit Talanchyan).

Nareg Hartounian, the founder of Naregatsi Art Institute, mentioned that our goal is to convey the message of this holy day through culture, musicians, artists. We have no right to deny our holy victims and go against God. Each of us has our own mission and the mission of Naregatsi Art Institute is to serve the good with culture and remain faithful to the national image. The founder of NAI expressed his deep gratitude to all who are with us today and serve the light, the light of Christ, which is very important to keep alive and convey.

The Naregatsi Orchestra (Artistic Director Artem Khachatur) performed Artsakh folk songs.

The concert was hosted by the RA Honored Artist, actor Samvel Baghinyan.

Since 2003, every year on April 24th, Naregatsi Art Institute faithfully holds commemorative events with the active participation of the artists calling on the world to honor the victims of the Genocide and to prevent the recurrence of other genocides through its recognition.
