Naregatsi Art Institute hosted the annual event "Commemoration through the Spirit of the Arts" dedicated to the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
Spiritual pastor of the Erebuni community of the Ararat Patriarchal Diocese Ter Zgon Abrahamyan started the event with a prayer.
The RA Honored Artist Daniel Yerazhisht gave a speech. In his speech he expressed regret that the criminal continues to kill and destroy, but despite this, the Armenian exists, lives and creates.
"Komitas" Vocal Quartet (Artistic Director Alvina Najarian) performed Mesrop Mashtots' "Bazum en ko gtutyunk", Komitas' works "Ter Voghormya” (Lord have mercy) and the "Where are you, my mother" tagh by an unknown author.
Aram Kostanyan, actor of G. Sundukyan Theater, read Diaspora Armenian poet Garnik Addaryan’s poem "Sa Karot".
The musicians of the Nova Folk Instruments Ensemble (Artistic Director Hovik Sahakyan, conductor Helbert Asatryan) performed "Requiem" by Komitas Keshishyan, transcription by Anna Babayan, performance by Nova Ensemble qanun players Silvana Mirijanyan, Arevik Nerkararyan, Manushak Naghdalyan.
During the event the RA Honored Artist, actor Samvel Baghinyan read Daniel Varuzhan's "Andastan" and Siamato's "Hay Dashterun Paghatanky".
The Paros Chamber Choir (Artistic Director Raffi Mikaelian, Conductor Ruben Karaseferian) performed "Hayr Mer” (Our Father) by Komitas, Avet Terteryan's "A Lonely Tree", Makar Yekmalyan's "Cilicia" works.
The Naregatsi Orchestra (Artistic Director: Artem Khachatur) performed the following works:

Sayat Nova - "Ashkhars me Panjara e", soloist: Henrik Grigoryan
Folk dance - "Kintauri", arranged by Artem Khachatur
Qanun solo by Gohar Frangyan, Edita Matevosyan
Since 2003, every year on April 24th, Naregatsi Art Institute faithfully holds commemorative events with the active participation of the artists calling on the world to honor the victims of the Genocide and to prevent the recurrence of other genocides through its recognition.
