On November 2nd, Naregatsi Art Institute Shoushi Center hosted the concert of the Naregatsi Orchestra with the participation of Lusine Mirzakhanyan.
The performed the following works: "Shoushi", Khachatur Avetisyan's "Anurjner", Sayat-Nova's "Broi, Broi", Aram Khachaturian’s Violin Concert, part 3 and "Uzundara".
The Naregatsi Folk Instruments Ensemble was launched in August 2008 under the auspices of the Naregatsi Art Institute and its Founder–President Nareg Hartounian and the generous support of some benefactors and art lovers. The Ensemble was founded on the basis of the tuition-free tar and qamancha classes organized back in 2005.
From its inception until June 2015 the Artistic Director of the Orchestra has been Hovik Sahakyan, RA Honorary Worker of Culture and famous tar player, who was succeeded by Artistic Director, composer, musician, RA Honorary Artist Artem Khachatur. The Naregatsi Orchestra inspires your relationship with Armenia’s ancient heritage through music by bridging the past and present to cultivate the future.
The Orchestra has had many concerts both in Europe and in the regions of Armenia since 2008.
