Two concerts in a day… Naregatsi Folk Instruments Orchestra had a concert program in the Culture House of the Tavush region Berd city. One concert was intended for the soldiers, the other one for the Berd community.
The event began with the welcoming speech of Father Aram Mirzoyan.

- We think about the Armenian soldiers every moment. We understand that in fact, we are the national army, we are soldiers, may be it’s our destination, maybe our power is in it... Invincible is the nation that is united...

Dear soldiers, our honorable Mr. Hartounian has been doing a great and tremendous work in the field of the Armenian culture. I want to say that two important border guards have met each other today, the soldiers who are facing the enemy, and the Naregatsi Orchestra, which preserves the purity of the Armenian art. You maintain important values, and you must really show today what the pure and authentic culture is.

We have a sense of pride for the fact that you, living in the capital, realize that your heart is beating with the soldiers, near the soldier, on the front line ... Actually, I am very happy for today, we are very pleased to see Artem Khachatur, we should show together what is the authentic, beautiful and Armenian one, because if something is beautiful, it is divine. "

After reading the Lord's Prayer, Father Aram Mirzoyan passed the floor to Nareg Hartounian, Naregatsi Art Institute founder.

-The four concerts during these two days were held due to a beautiful angel, a girl named Arevik. She came to Naregatsi Art Institute some weeks ago, and suggested that the Naregatsi Folk Instruments Orchestra performed for the soldiers. We immediately agreed, because it is an honor for us to deliver the authentic, ethnic and folk Armenian music to you. All this is done with great pleasure, and we feel more obliged, because we are in front of the soldier. The destiny of Armenia will be changed at any moment. You are the keepers, and if there are no little heroes - “nzhdehs”, the life will stop, we will not exist. You are the shield for the Armenian people.

Then Siranush Melikyan, a talented woman from Tavush, recited some pieces by Gregory of Narek.

The Orchestra had a fabulous concert and there was a storm of applause at the end of the concert.

At the end of the concert, a surprise was prepared by the commandment of the military unit. Letters of acknowledgment were handed to Naregatsi Art Institute founder Nareg Hartounian for the exceptional attitude towards Armenian Army, as well as to Arevik Hambaryan for maintaining the army-society ties and for the strengthening of the spiritual and moral values of the military personnel.

An hour later, Naregatsi Orchestra performed for the residents of Tavush as well.

-It was very nice, amazing, thank you very much for such a concert. My younger daughter has already expressed a desire to become a qanun player, - a woman from the audience shared her impressions.

There was another surprise prepared at the end of the concert tour. Tanya Melikyan, director of the Berd Culture House, presented a double bass to the orchestra. Naregatsi Orchestra Artistic director Artem Khachatur accepted it with great enthusiasm and love and expressed his gratitude.
